Awards ending September 30th - DEADLINE NOVEMBER 15th FINAL CLAIM SUBMITTAL DEADLINE for federal (or other funding awards) ending September 30th of each calendar year is NOVEMBER 15th. Claims for reimbursement must be received IN THE DIVISION OF APPROPRIATION CONTROL by the above deadline in order to be reimbursed from current fiscal year awards. This deadline has been established to ensure all funds due are remitted to you in accordance with federal regulations regarding period of funding availability. The Louisiana Department of Education (LDE) must issue the payment and draw sufficient revenue from the grantor to cover your request by December 31st of each calendar year. Therefore, WE WILL BE UNABLE TO PROVIDE EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE DEADLINE. All requests for funds should include goods and services RECEIVED by September 30th. Please make sure claims are submitted on the correct form, expenditures are in compliance with and do not exceed the approved budget, and all detail is completed. If requests have been submitted for a period in excess of 30 days and payment has not been received, please contact Expenditure Control at (225) 342-3780 immediately to determine the current status of your payment. This procedure will confirm that all claims you have submitted have actually been received, and will ensure that payment is issued within the proper period.
