K-12 Online Database
The Louisiana Department of Education, through the Division of Leadership and Technology, is offering all Louisiana public and nonpublic schools FREE, 24 hour, 7-days a week, unlimited access to quality information resources via the Internet. Our educational community has the benefit of using a collection of subscription-based products from World Book, Inc., and EBSCO, funded through the Louisiana Legislature.

Through this exciting project, all Louisiana schools can:
1. Access more than 1.7 million full-text magazines and newspaper articles, hundreds of full-color maps, 14 reference books, and much more.
2. Locate current links through thousands of editor-approved web sites and periodicals.
3. Get ‘Plug-Ins’ to use videos, audio and 3D bubble views that will enhance the learning experience.
4. Ask the ‘Homework Helpers’ questions about conducting research, writing reports, and oral presentations.

Throughout this exciting project, all Louisiana schools have access to:
1. Hundreds of full text reference books and thousands of full text periodicals, biographics and primary source documents.
2. More than 80 hours of historical video, over 300,000 images in the image collection, and Lexiles measurements of reading levels.
3. Full text of many national and international newpapers, television and radio news transcripts and selected full text for over 260 regional newspapers.
4. Full text for many plot summaries, synopses and work overviews, articles and essays of literary criticism, author biographies, literary journals, book reviews, poems short stories, and author reviews.
5. Many full text consumer health magazines, pamphlets, and health reference books.
